DNV GL TANKER UPDATE
Another official release by DNV GL Class Society. The authors of this publication included the very latest updates to the statutory requirements that are applicable to tankers, information about the IACS CSR for oil tankers/bulk carriers, vetting compliance support, carbon future prospects, newbuilding specification services, the situation on the crude oil market, etc. The present release of the Tanker Update is coming with the regular self-explanatory motto "Expertise is knowing which details make all difference". Inert gas - Stability - ODME type-approved for bio-fuel blends - What is IACS CSR? - Consequences - PSC inspections and deficiencies - Top ten deficiency main categories and types in all visited ports - Deficiency ratio trend and benchmark - Review of technical specifications - Alternative fuel options - International regulations by IMO. There many serious changes that have been happening to the tanker market during past months, most of them caused by the significant drop in the oil prices. It seems that, most probably, we are not going to experience any increase in the new construction market in the nearest future - this is the reason why we would better concentrate on improving the utilization rate for the existing tanker fleet. And, in turn, this is exactly what the present DNV GL publication is about.
