   This IMO training course covers the training recommendations as outlined in the Annex III to the IMO Assembly Res. A. 703 (17) - it has been revised in order to meet the requirements of the Radio Regulations 2012. Trainees who successfully complete this course and successfully pass all the prescribed examination will be able to efficiently operate the GMDSS equipment, and also to be assigned primary responsibility to radio communications during all incidents. Given the number of severe problems that may be experienced in the GMDSS due to the huge number ofcfalse Distress alerts occuring sometimes, this issue will also be addressed during the training. The framework of the present course will require some basic knowledge of maritime radio communication practice, working knowledge of English, and elementary computer skills...
