   The official IMO release of the Manual on Oil Pollution, Section 1. The publications starts with introduction followed by glossary of definitions and abbreviations used in the text. The requirements for all ships and for tankers are listed in the first part; the book also describes oil tanker operations at berths (including offshore, single point and buoy moorings), piers and jetties, STS transfer of crude oil and petroleum products at anchor and while underway, operations at FSO/FPSO facilities, oil tanker operations in ice covered waters, as well as shore facilities and oil transfer operations other than at dock areas. Some examples of checklists are provided in the Appendix.
