|Author(s)||Luis Eca, Julio Garcia-Espinosa, Trond Kvamsdal, Pal Bergan|
This publication contains the most important documents from the International Conference on CM in Marine Engineering held some years ago in Portugal. Today, the computational methods are considered as one of the essential tools of engineering in general, and this would include a huge area of professional interest in various marine applications, such as offshore and marine industries, as well as engineering challenges relating to the renewable energies and marine environment protection. Subject conference included eight lectures and eighty-six presentations that have been grouped into ten thematic sessions covering nearly all relevant topics of today's marine engineering. The present volume contains sixteen selected papers addressing fluid-structure interactions, computational fluid dynamic applied to offshore, various isogeometric methods, seakeeping and manoeuvring, offshore and marine renewable energy, issues relating to propulsion and cavitation, hydrodynamics of ships. The world recognized experts took part in selecting the papers sharing their experience and professional expertise. Check the information presented in the book and stay updated with all recent developments.
