The declared objectives of this book prepared by Graham Kelly are two-fold; the first one is to present the very basic principles of engineering vibrations to the reader, while the second purpose is to present those principles in a framework the readers will advance their knowledge and skill in solving the problems of mechanical engineering. This publication, therefore, is primarily intended for use as a textbook for junior- or senior-level students in vibrations. In the meantime, this book could easily be used in a courses populated by undergraduate and even graduate students. The latter chapters of this book will definitely be appropriate for use as a stand-alone graduate course in mechanical vibrations.
