ADMIRALTY GATEWAY VIDEO LEARNING PACK

This set of training videos was prepared and released with the intention to help trainees get familiarized with the Admiralty gateway which is a platform specifically developed to assist bridge crew members. Among the key features of the platform we would mention the single logon allowing more convenient use, much more efficient ordering of the products and services, standardized procedures as well as processes implementing shared screens.

The training pack consists of twenty-three video files providing visualized instructions on getting electronic nautical publications from the gateway DVD and from the internet, using the electronic NP screen and viewing subject publications electronically, generating certificate and reports, ordering products and registration via email and through the internet, passage planning.

It also covers adding scheduling to a plan, calculating under-keel clearance, creating a passage plan, editing legs and waypoints, and using tidal information, managing ARCS data and updating electronic charts using internet and email, viewing products and updating them, and finally updating the catalogue and permits.
