This work reflects the author's experience teaching the corrosion courses at the University of South Carolina. It is intended to provide students with an extensive and thorough theoretical analysis of mass transfer, thermodynamics kinetics, passivation and potential theory, preparing a basis for proper understanding the electrochemical nature of the process of corrosion and the strategies for corrosion protection. There are numerous case studies solved in the book as well as corrosion analysis to help readers better understand the core principles of the corrosion process. The publication will be equally valuable as the self-study reference book or as a text for the corrosion courses.
