   DNV Hull Structure Course - the training course developed by Det Norske Veritas, one of the most respected Classification Societies. After satisfactory completion of the subject course, its participants will gain knowledge of basic ship hull strength and good understanding of how to coduct ship hull inspections properly. The purpose of this course is to explain the basics of hull structure to the technical personnel. The target group for this training is technical personnel within the ship owner or manager company, who need their competence in structural matters improved, with special focus on Oil Tankers and Bulk Carriers. After completion of the first module called "Basic Hull Structures", the participants will get better understanding of the behaviour of simple beams with loads and corresponding shear forces and moments, the applicable local and global loads on the ship hull girder and the corresponding shear forces and bending moments...
