The information which is forming the basis of the Significant Ships releases is coming from the technical as well as descriptive data that in turn is supplied by the shipbuilders from all around the world assisting with the publication. This set is traditionally made of two books.
The Significant Ships will provide information on such remarkable vessels delivered in 2005 as Andromeda Voyager and Universal Queen very large crude oil carriers, Asphalt Seminole asphalt tanker, Colombo Express container liner, Atlantis Aldabra coastal tanker, Hammerodde ro-pax ferry intended for Baltic Sea, Big Glory bulk carrier, Basto III shuttle ferry, Energy Advance liquid natural gas carrier, Western Baltic product tanker, Viktor Titov and British Cormorant Aframax tankers, and many other interesting ships of different and sophisticated designs.
The second part of the set is dealing with the smaller ships delivered in the same year, among which we would note Fairmount Sherpa tug, Borcus Firdaus 1 offshore supply vessel, Bute ferry, Lora D'Abundo ro-pax, Sea Helper workboat, Velox escort tug. Spirit of Portsmouth ferry, Sea Fighter speedy navy cat and others. The technical information is supplemented with the images and drawings.
